Required Qualifications
General Qualifications for Nurses only:- Must pass the english exam.
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): an overall band score of at least 213 on the computer or 550 on the paper based test.
- TSE (Test of Spoken English): a score of at least 50 on the computer exam or 200 on the paper based exam.
OR
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic version -A score of least 6.5.
IELTS ( International English Language Testing System) Spoken English - A score of at least 7.0.
OR
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) -an overall score of at least 83%
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) -Spoken English - a score of at least 3 on part (4) of the oral exam
OR
TOEIC ( Test of English for International Communications) - a score of at least 730 is required (doesn't include a spoken component, TSE must be taken).
The TOEFL and TSE exams as well as the IELTS exams can be taken anywhere in the world where they are available.
MELAB can be taken in Canada and the United States.
NOTE: If English is not your first language you MUST write the exam.
NOTE: The examination scores will be accepted only
if achieved within the two years prior to the date of application for
registration.
NOTE:
- Must be a registered nurse.
- Must have 3 or more years experience.
Other required documentation:
- Birth Certificate
- Official transcript of Basic Nursing Education Program with breakdown of hours of theory and clinical in the areas of obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and medical ( to be forwarded by Educational Institution at Program Completion)
- Recommendation by Nursing Program for Admission to Register (to be forwarded by Nursing Education Program Head)
